Viburnum
Snow-white and picture-perfect
This striking cut flower, also called ‘Guelder-rose’, has stalks from 30 to 150 centimetres long. The most well-known Viburnum cultivar is the Snowball, which is readily available in autumn. This gorgeous flower, which gets its name from its round, white shape, is cut while it is still green and then slowly changes colour to white. Viburnum can be beautifully combined with spring flowers in white or light pink, such as Ranunculus, Anemone, and lilacs. When working with the Snowball Viburnum, it is important to cut the flower at a steep angle, give it flower food, and remove plenty of leaves from the stem. In this way Viburnum will best live up to its meaning of ‘pride’.
